Not sure on weight got to get it on the scales again as added about 15 to 20 kg now so I am estimating about 550 kg ish,

The wheels weigh nothing super light, rears are only 8.5 kg with tyres

My old wheels where 16 kg each big weight saving,

Cheers for all the comments hope it goes as well as it looks for me, and hope my driving is upto it

can you elaborate on where you sourced the vinyl wrap for the sides please, the cost and how easy it was to fit. I'm tempted to do it on mine too, also yellow with black wheels. I think it will modernise the look of the car,
cheers,
Phil

Hi ref the black wrap I got this from RAW cost aout £30 all in,

Was ok to fit along as you use water with some fairy in it before applying it you can move it around etc, I made templates from brown paper first and then cut it out etc,

It's worth doing

Thanks all

Beautiful car!

Applying vinyl is not difficult; just take your time. There is a massive choice on fleabay if you can't find any cheap stuff locally. Remember, you can use offcuts and join them if you simply overlap them, cut down the middle of the join, and peel off the excess. It is FAR easier to work with the air release type of vinyl, than straight sign vinyl. The later will result in bubbles, which will eventually disappear, but it takes a while.

Nice work

Thanks for the comments guys,

Striker chris it has a 9.5 inch rear rim with a 230 slick tyre,

It is a IRS chassis it is a offset of 11mm but I run a space on it to get clearance a 10mm one, so if you get a set of wheels with zero offset it should be ok,

Deep side alloys always look good on a 7 replica,

Thanks and can't wait to get on track now, I will also be trialling with a slopighlty less big a slick a 200 on a 8 inch rim to see what handles best of the two,

Good luck with your projects

It's not that close prob the pics angle etc,

It's level with chassis not worried about speed bumps as it get hardly if any road use,

Just a track blaster really,

Should be back on the dyno on the 6 th April will post up results,

Cheers for the comments
