Personalised Number Plates
So, personalised number plate for the Honda Hornet.
We already have T2000JP and R2000JP on the cars......
Or should we go a little more extravagant and go for the new style??
No, we can't have H10NDA as that is already on some 'tuned' up Civic somewhere probably.

ho51net, the others may have some meaning to you as they match your existing ones, but mean bugger all to anyone else.
depends how much of a poser you are i guess (though you are obviously rich, having 2 personal plates already  )

Yeah, £250 each, -£50 because we bought them at the same time. Here is a picture of it as a numberplate. I think it looks extremely cool. On a small
number plate with silver LED lights, whoa!

I think H10NDA is driven around the kettering area.
Its a fairly lowly ordinary car model

HO51NET is too expensive, £950. Y2000JP is still available and at £250 is just right.
If anyone sees anything else suitable then tell me.

Bike plate regs.
It kind of makes the custom plates pointless as they don't read if they are in 2 or 3 rows.

Not what the manufacturer says:-
The registration must be displayed on two lines and split in the conventional way. Tampering with letter groups is not permitted.
From the legal section. I live near a big bike shop, Powersports, and saw one being cautioned by the police last weekend for having a little
horizontal plate. They gave him a producer which was unusual, he must have had a good story.

It was pobably because the writing was too small, but I thought that you were allowed to have them on one line as long as these rules were applied:
Character Height 64mm
Character Width 44mm
Character Stroke 10mm
Space between characters 10mm
Space between groups 30mm
Top, side & bottom margin 11mm
Space between vertical lines 13mm

I think you are correct, but that's gonna look ridiculous on the back of a bike.
Never really got the personalised plate thing. If you want your name or initials on your vehicle, just put a big sticker on the back and spend the
money on something else.

Mine was a bargain at £250 (see avatar).
As for the spacing, font etc, when the DVLA bloke came to issue me with a chassis number he mentioned my plate. He said that the spacing was wrong
and the font was also wrong and I could be fined up to £1000.
(I keep some 'legal' plates in the boot just in case  )

number plates
I used to have the number FAT 30Y.
With two black screws in the bend of the three it read FAT BOY. I had a lot of fun with that one.I sold it through an advert in the Sunday telegraph
asking for offers and it made 8,500 grand. I was well chuffed
I read somewhere that Steve Parrish( the ex motorcycle racer and now tv comentater) had THE NUMBER PEN 1S, but he was known as a practical joker.
