Chevy Camaro

Selling as it wont fit in the garage!!

RHD (yes, RHD), 5.0 with a 5 speed Getrag 290 gearbox.

Starts, runs, needs finishing. For full details on how much, check this build thread:

http://retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=readersrides&action=display&thread=94749

15x8 and 15x9 Cragar black windows
Edelbrock performer dual plane inlet manifold
10mm ignition leads
New distributor body, and coil
10 point roll cage
True dual exhaust and 4 branch headers (3" full system)
Thrush welded back boxes
280 deg crane cam
Billet rocker covers
4" street bulge on bonnet (not finished blending)
Grant dished steering wheel

Car is located in Glasgow, but I am not. Hence the idea for a sale. Will need to give up the garage and store it outside, and with my limited budget now, it will end up a bucket of rust.

Be under no illusions, this needs a lot of tidying to finish, and I can supply full details of what it will need. Once done though, it will be something pretty special indeed.

I'm not haggling, i'm not humouring stupid offers. If you want this, turn up with cash and take it, otherwise I keep it and eventually get round to finishing it.

This ad wont run forever, as its mostly down to winter blues that i'm even considering selling this. If you seriously want it, drop me a PM.

Note: These are pics from when I first got it, see the build thread for current status!!

"£500"?

Sorry, but re-read the advert. No stupid offers. The wheels and tires cost that and they are still brand new.

At no point is the price of this car going to be £500, but do let me know when you find a V8 Gen 3 Camaro for that....

i do realise this is probably not a target audience to sell a car like this, but it was worth a shot.

It wasn't aimed at you mate. Scootz has a reputation for buying things then selling for less later on.

It could of been explained a little better!

Ahh, i think i did a fair bit of thread mis-reading too. No harm done!

Just to give a bit of background, the RHD conversion was done in Oz, none of this chain across the dash stuff, its properly shaft run, with a RHD steering box and altered bar etc. Most likely taken from some Holden, but its sturdy, P/S working, and tidy.

Also, the Getrag 290 is from a Holden Commodore. These have a reputation for being the strongest 5 cog box Getrag ever made. They take stupid power all day long. I had it stripped to check the bearings, and i swear to god the layshaft looks like something from a commercial truck. It is a monster.

The cage is a bolt in affair, but i was planning on welding it anyway. Hasn't been done yet but the cage will come with the sale.
