BBC iplayer full screen help!

Folks,

I have an issue with my BBC iplayer playback that maybe you clever lot can help me with.

I have a 4:3 monitor on my PC with an ATI video card. If I watch iplayer in a 'normal' window it's fine. It's when I run it fullscreen it goes a bit wonky.

Normally I would expect a fullscreen 16:9 image to be displayed in letterbox format, with black bars top and bottom. However, what we get is, rather than show black bars top & bottom, I get a distorted image that fills the whole screen.

I've looked though the options and settings for the ATI card for a 'turn off stretching' option but can't find anything that makes any difference.

Any clues boys?

I had the same problem when I viewed it through Chrome. Switched to Internet Explorer, and it behaved correctly.

Regards,

Albert
