New panels - you'll always know that under all the shiny wrap is a load of knackered panels

Had to do some googling, but i now understand the slammed, matt rust painted polo that i keep seeing around town...

I can't see the rat look working on a 7, but don't let that stop you!

A paint job that looked like you could see the chassis/engine through holes in the fibreglass might look cool

This was suggested by Mr painter guy, along with the bottom 1/2 of a skeleton sat in the seat operating the pedals.

I keep thinking rat though, it's 1/2 way there now......

It might worked using a aluminium bodywork, but that would be beyond your idea.

Personley, i think the rat look, and especially with a 7, looks as though its an uncared/loved piece of shite
that lives on the drive 24/7 365,

And having seen some of "the rat car look" designed from the start, ie unfinfinished, built VERY poorly cars at various kit car shows, ive often wondered "WHY" ???

Just my view, !!

I'm in the process of rollering paint onto mine. Total cost about £100. Not sure how it will work out for me but if you haven't seen it done before, google "$50 paint job"

To be fair that sums up the thinking behind look perfectly.

just remember that if you vinyl, the surface has to be very smooth, so sand to 250 grit at least before applying. It's a hard question; one I ask myself all the time: paint or vinyl? My paint has unfortunately never turned out very well, unless it was flat black, which is boring.
