16.5 inch x 8.00 American camper tyres----doing my head in

Hi,

16.5x8.00 LT tyres fitted to my camper (1978 6L dodge sportsman)

all Radial Cooper tyres

except last year, i needed 2 replacements

i could only get crossply from a really helpful chap at P&B tyres oswestry (really nice chap) £130 ish Ea

due to the rules on mixing crossply / radial, i had to fit them on the front and keep the 4 rears radial.

i wanted to fit them to the inside on the rear and have radial on front and outside rear, but this is frowned upon.

anyway having them on the front is much worse in my opinion.

right

back to the problem this year, i need 1 radial tyre for the rear (MOT tomorrow)
as they are impossible to come by, i will end up buying x4 crossplys

there is an option to replace the wheels to 16inch LINK HERE and then im ok with lots of radial options (anyone got any 16" coined wheels from dodge GM 80's/90's ish?)
or
find a radial
or
buy the 4 crossplys.

any advice appreciated .........

IC

measure twice, cut once, scrap it, start again.

Michelin used to make those tires, usually fitted to 3/4 ton pickups and vans here in Canada and the USA.
