will a caterham nosecone fit a stuart taylor locost?

I've found a few threads on here where this question has been asked but I couldn't find a definitive answer.

Does anyone know for sure?

I used to run a genuine Caterham windscreen and it fitted perfectly.

Caterham Nosecone

Stuart Taylors were based around the Caterham so it should fit, Why not ask Aires Motorsport who took over the production of the Stuart Taylor cars.

Iv'e got a carbon caterham one, not had chance to fit it yet but looks like it will fit with a bit of fettling round
the chassis where the light bar goes.

I'd say you will have a lot of work to do to the nosecone. Caterham wishbones fit differently to Locost especially the lower ones. Have a look on here to se what you think.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Not without a reasonable amount of cutting and trimming unfortunately.

thanks all.

sounds like at the very least it can be made to fit with a bit of trimming!

a carbonfibre replacement for weight saving is the reason for my asking. I'm not aware of anyone making pre-preg carbon parts for Stuart Taylor bodywork?

cheers,
Patrick

The caterham one weighs about the same as an empty crisp packet.

nah, far too easy an option that. Much better to start from scratch and build it as one with the bonnet and scuttle.......

What kind of eejit would do that?
