carbs

Hi Guys and happy new year..

Been balancing some 40 dcoe carbs with a synchrometer and cylinders 1 2 and 4 are reading 3.5.But cylinder 3 is reading 5.

Any thoughts on how I get them all the same ????

Thanks in advance.

I had that on one of mine.It turned out turned out to be a slightly twisted shaft which i very carefully counter twisted.

The other possibility is the butterflys are slightly misaligned.Try slackening the fixing screws and allowing the throttle to fully close and retighten.New shafts are always available if necessary.
