Taxing at post office help

Just realised tax has ran out, cannot tax on line. What do i need to take to the post office now days , cannot find mot but i know it's got one.

Your reminder if you've got it or V5. Also the dvla website seems to say you need the MOT certificate, but other people have said they didnt need it.

Although if the Databases show you as insured and MOT'd, I'm not sure you even need those nowadays. Not walked into a PostOffice and done it in years (oooerr..)

I have just been tonight to get mine done and all I needed was the V5, apparently the law changed December 2013 meaning that insurance documents and mot wasn't needed anymore.

Taxed my car at the post office a month ago. Took the reminder, MOT and insurance. Was told only need the reminder now.

I took mine off SORN at the beginning of April. All the PO wanted was the V5. Presumably the system checks MOT and insurance status automatically from the DVLA.





I'm addicted to brake fluid, but I can stop anytime.

Took mine off SORN yesterday and taxed at the post office. They INSISTED on V5, Insurance & MOT! Grrrr. Sorted now.

I went to tax mine at the beginning of April, It's been off the road for 20 years! All they wanted to see was the Insurance cover note as it hadn't been entered on the Insurance Data Base
