Just fitted a similar kit to a pre x-flow 1500GT - works a treat.

If its comes with the multi pronged spark plugs sling them in the bin they are utter crap, i had them on a rig after i got my luego and couldnt get it to run right with system on it....they barely sparked! Stuck some standard ngks in £1.10 on amazon improved it no end....oh and the leads are rubbish to.its cheap.......and slightly better than knackered clockwork but there is alot better out there.

Very few things are "really" needed.

Posted the same question on old Skool fords and the general response on there is it's not worth the money and are far from reliable apparently bestek or lumenition
Kits are the way to go cost 2-3 times as much but they are far superior and reliable

We run a 123 Ignition system on the Escort. It's brilliant and set-up via USB.

Check with your tuner/rolling road though if they can set them up.

Can't go wrong with a decent set of leads - we use Magnecor. Never had one go down on us.
