Who's running Saab Turbo power?

I'm just curious really - I run a 230bhp 9-3 as a daily and I've just taken it up the road for the first time since curing a misfire that has dogged it since Christmas. It's really decently quick. One of those B204s or near-relatives must be ballistic in a kit!

Anyone got any video?

yep it was stupid quick at 230bhp. then i put a a gt2560rs turbo on it and upped it to 300bhp, the content of my nut sack was the limiting factor on how fast i wanted to go.

uploading some vids going up the trolls road with nash in his 2.0 zetec indy, there are a couple of points where i gave it some beans for a fraction of a second which which kinda gives a little idea at the rate it can get away.

the only thing i have come across that can get away from me is dick in his tiger but hes up to +400bhp with his cosworth lump.

Froggy on here runs one in his Reliant kitten, i don't know specifics but it's gone through various configurations of supercharger+turbo, then just turbo, different cams etc etc. They do seem to make good ponies, at Franks track days at Blyton there's usually a red Astra from the Carlisle area with one fitted.

Must say that i think its not a bad way to go, they give good power and control and unlike a cosworth they are cheap. Seen the complete cars up for sale for £500 and most saab owners look after the cars they own. The one i striped out was a nice car and drove like it had done half its miles. If getting the car you use the ecu wiring and the complete engine. The engine is tall and a bit on the heavy side but just click the power up to compensate for this. You can use the manifold and the turbo as they are fitted very close to the block as is the inlet system. When Ash had it in his he had lots of room around the car and will say looked made for the job. Now the ecu on a cosworth will cost you more than the whole saab
