Do you Geff from the church mouse? Honda engine on carbs, turbo hanging out the side...

Think Mr Kettley has a r1 turbo one as well.

Once you crack around 175bhp on a 919 blade you will need a lockup clutch, I tried bigger stronger prongs, OEM plates etc to no avail, now injected and blown

Barnett HD springs held 181bhp in my zx9, I asked other zx9 turbo guys what the strongest springs avaliable are and I believe I got some r1 brocks performance springs, holds 225bhp no problems so far. Lockup clutches on the zx9 don't really seem to work that well

The clutch point is interesting for me. I have inherrited a lockup clutch which I don't like very much. I also have a big bag of bespoke springs to have a try with!

What happens on the ZX9 lockup clutches are that the clutch puller snaps, my thought was to just go with the strongest springs I could find since clutch pedal effort when in a car is so easy anyway, clutch feel isn't affected

Details about the setup can be seen in my thread here http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=193224

Converted to megasquirt injection so no zx9 electrics.

More pictures can be seen in my photobucket http://s222.photobucket.com/user/dave_424/library/?sort=3&page=1

Homemade Tig welded turbo manifold, volvo turbo

Stock pistons on the left, forged on the right

Got loads more stuff about the setup, let me know if you want more

Did you sell the engine or do you still have it ?

Still got the engine, still in use in the buggy, took it out a couple of weeks ago for a test, too slippery

But back to the original topic, I was going to use the standard carbs, I do believe that they do take quite well to turbo since they are ram air.
