Winter mods finished

At last, got the car out the garage and took her for a run out. Clutch perfect now after fitting a new fork pivot pin and release bearing. Also finished the body work. I got fed up with polishing the bare ali so decided to have a bash at vinyl wrapping.

Before the upgrades.....

How did the wrapping go - tempted to have a go at wrapping mine. Any tips?

Buy vinyl that has air release and get a good squeegee, a hair dryer provides enough heat and take your time. I did one panel at a time and as they were ali, I wet and dryed them first to get a good finish. Its not perfect, by I like it...

I didn't wrap the nose as that was orange anyway so not sure how tricky that would be.

We've just done a complete car including scuttle and nosecone. Not the easiest job in the world but doable.
Buy good quality vinyl, take your time and have a helper to hold and stretch whilst you warm and smooth it on.
The nosecone took two of us three hours or more. It's by no means perfect but more than acceptable for our first effort.

Look good with the wrapping done.

Lets face it, if John Barnes can do it then why not have a go yourself..........
