competition car suspension - staniforth, heavy/indepth, but good.

designing and building special cars by andre jute .(never seen another copy)

race car dynamics by milliken and milliken ,

er anything staniforth
a welders book
carrol smith etc etc

not exactly easy reads but will give some good pointers on what no to do .

oh how to make your car handle by fred puhn - absolutely fantastic inexplaining down to earth suspension mysteries .

read high speed / low cost - ignore the car building bit, its just a good read.

I still love two comments he makes, one about getting suspension wrong where he says if you're lucky you might end up in hospital, if you're unlucky you might end up next door (mortuary!)

The other about finding someone who likes to help you, if they are female, marry them! ....... shame i can't find anyone
