Mag 7 at Brands Hatch With Mk sportscars

Great day at a very wet Brands hatch on Sunday watching and supporting the mag 7's, and Danny Keenan from Mk sportscars,

After a shaky qualifying and a argument with a barrier on a very wet qualifying,Danny and the team got the car repaired and back on track after some help from the supporting team, and a few members out there from boss racing, with some spare wheels and tyres great camaraderie in the paddock,

A very exciting race with peter ratcliff starting from the pit lane to win the race, Danny came up to 6th place in the race and in tricky conditions ended the race overall in 8th place but 1st in his class again to match his result at silverstone, with fastest lap in his group Top Job

Jonathan Gibbs got a well deserved and hard thought 3rd place well done to that man

Lots of action on track with the rain causing some spectacular spins and overtaking moves,
cant wait for the next race and i'm sure Danny at MK sportscars can improve his position and get into the top 5 for sure, best of luck to all the competitors in the next round in the UK at Rockingham july 11/12

Was going really well until a spin at the end. Upto 4th or 5th overall I think?

I was there yesterday.

It was a lot of fun and some close racing. All of the forms of racing were great to watch (except for the old jags, yawn!).

I did spot Danny in the barrier at the exit of Graham hill bend. A tricky corner in the wet and were I spent the day spectating the carnage unfold.

Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

We haven't managed to finish rebuilding the engine in our Westfield after Snetterton, so unfortunately had to withdraw from Brands Hatch. All bing well we'll be back for Rockingham though.

Thanks for the write up Sean.

It was a weekend of ups and downs, not starting of to good in qualifying buy making contact with the barrier.but at least we got it fixed and back out for the race which was a lot more fun.

Having started in 15th I was up to 6th after 6 laps but wasn't gaining much on the leaders.not far from the end I got up to fourth but had a spin with 6 laps to go dropping me to 10th,I managed to get my way back up to 8th buy the end iv the race.

The next race should be more challenging as iv been move up into a more powerful engine class .

If anyone is wanting to watch the mag 7s come along and say hi.

Thanks Danny

Not sure who it was with but I really enjoyed your battle for I think 5th and 6th place that lasted a good 4 or 5 laps with lots of passing.
