shortend sump

Hi gents l am building a luego with a1800 black top zetec. I bought a shortend sump off ebay and would like to know if l need to fit baffels to it, if so any ideas on how to do this thanks les

It is probably best to do so, but having said that I didn't baffle mine and have had no issues with oil starvation.

Personally I would. I had a shortened un-baffled sump on my silvertop zetec and suffered oil starvation that completely ruined my engine. Needless to say I now have a baffled sump which we managed to enlarge also to gain some more oil capacity which helps massively.

I believe the blacktop is a steel sump so should be fairly easy to weld some baffles inside.
