going backwards
just my 2p worth why bother with it at all it seems that there all a pain in the ass , expensive and weigh loads . ive done 800 miles in mine in 3
months and ive had to push it with one hand twice when pulled in to a parking space and not thought about what i was doing .

To be fair I think Mark has a point. Mine is a CEC and is nice to drive on the road [forwards or backwards] but is so much more fun on a track.

I have done more than 3000 miles without a reverse, and as long as you think about it, it is rarely an issue. Reverse has gone on my lawn tractor,
but I am in no rush to sort it as a BEC side effect!

Electric reverse on a BEC can be the answer as long as the battery has enough capacity, I fitted a Latium Ion so only a few yards possible but always
a smile during and after a track day!

I agree with the electric reverse. Had mine on for 1 month. hardly used it. I guess most people have them for IVA purposes.

i think its just a waist of money to be honest!! i find the only places you can come unstuck is if you take some very narrow country lane and you
come across another vehicle coming your way with no lay-by to pull into!!
then it turns into a spaghetti western stand off!!!!

I suppose no reverse is okay as long as you have a drive through garage. I have a normal garage I have to drive into and reverse out. Also the there
is a slope up to the garage and pushing it up there is hard. Although as I have started to bed the brakes in the cars getting easier to push!
If you meet a car coming down a country lane (as I do on a daily basis) do you hold up a small sign saying 'I have no reverse'?
What about in car parks? Do you just drive around until you see two spaces in a row and drive through the first until your facing out?
I have a allocated car park space at work and I wouldn't be able to get out of it without reverse.
There was a accident on the A46 not long back and the police made everyone do a 3 point turn and go back the way they had come. I would have looked a
bit daft getting out and pushing it. I wasn't about to spin it in front of the plod.
Just saying...............

no reverse never caused me any issues on the road, a BEC isn't going to be heavy and hard to push even up a slight incline.

Same here, just don't park facing down hill, some one WILL park in front of you
I don't see that having a steep drive is a problem, my drive is steep, check the brick courses in the photo, I just reversed out down the
drive.

My best upgrade was to delete the Nova reverser in my Fireblade Caterham. No more 'bag of spanners' noise when the transmission
isn't wound up. No reverse has been no problem, except for requiring a bit of thought on parking on slopes, avoiding single track lanes.
It's not like the car's too heavy to push into a parking space.

No reverse on my R1 Caterham. Never a problem in 20K miles. Just get out and push.

hi all
after reading all your post i sorry i did not mean to start an anything . just got fed up with my mrn reverse box not working so after a bit
of a giggle from what you have all been on about i am just taking it out and just having a 2 piece prop . anyway i have a reverse its called the wife
she can push come to think about it . sorry if my first post did not look right but i am not very good at explaining my self
