AGE

Going by the comments/replies I often feel that I am an old man on here, I suppose I am at 63, but still active with the car doing track days etc. Therefore, I thought it may be interesting to see what the average age of a Locost member is.

63 and a bit - I'm a firm believer in growing old disgracefully.

I'm actually quite surprised to see as many as there are in the 26 - 35 bracket, the vast majority of my customers for cars have been 40 plus & looking around at the members of our club (Essex Kitcar Club) most are 50+

Me? I'm heading for the big 60 next year, no idea where the time went, but still act much like a 15 year old!

Who the hell wants to grow up???

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

I guess you need to allow for how likely it is they will be posting on here - I suspect a larger proportion of the younger age groups are posting on here compared to the overall proportion of locost/kit builders and owners that they represent....
(does that make sense? I've not been getting much sleep this week... )

I'm 34 now, but don't feel any older than I did when I registered on here 10 years ago.... (scary how fast that time has gone )

Coming up on 54 in a couple of months... and trying not to act like it, though I do keep saying things that sound like my Dad.

Am I the only one who thinks the %'s in the survey don't make sence?

68 which does seem like a very big number.
The %ages are silly, they don't add up to anything like 100!

Work out the date when a woman born on the same day would get her pension - that's the age at which a man can apply for a bus pass.

(got mine too...)

Wow, that's some serious history - one to be proud of!

Imagine where it'll take you in terms of experience if you stick with it for the rest of your life (assuming we still have cars and IVA lingers on in some shape or form)!

33 here. Wanted a kit ever since I went in my uncles Xflow Westy when I was about 12. Only now am I in the financial position to do so. Well I say that, I'm skint but at least I have a quick rack, quick release wheel boss and some other goodies to fit over the weekend!

Found my love of cars and bikes in general from working with my dad(mechanic) since I was about 6 years old after school and at weekends. I'm never happier than when I have spanners all over floor, can't find that 10mm I had 5 mins ago and swearing at those s***ty rivnuts!
