Wheel and tyre sizes...

Greetings,
What wheel and tyre sizes are you guys running? I'm looking for a general idea of what may work best on my riot.
Currently I have 195/45/15 on the front and 195/50/15 on the rear, I can fit 50's up front as the catch on the guards etc etc :-/

Cheers
Phil

Thanks mate, I will go with R888 or AD08's (I will run two sets or wheels so not bothered about being good in wet etc), just curious to see what sizes people are running... 15's just seem to big for the car, but I only have rally car experience to go off.

If your hubs and brakes will allow, the general consensus seems to be 13" wheels as being better. It's also important to get the tyre pressure right as well, I used to run 17psi on 195/50R15 tyres on my MK Indy - higher than that made for a slippery car.

ETA...being used to heavier tin tops made the Indy very light

On my J15 wich is same chasis, I have 185/55/14 which is pretty much Jeremys recommendation.

I did have pressure at 16psi but find 18 to 20 better.

problem with 14 inch wheels is tyre selection is a little more limited than 15 or 13.

I've got 195x50R15's all round on my Mojo which should be essentially the same as your Riot. The front wing stays are really close, but can be made to fit with just a little bit of bending around. 7 years later and no problems so far.

There should be plenty of pics in my build diary if it helps...

Edit to add: Pressures are approx. 15psi all round.

I'd like to try 13' but don't think the will get over the brakes, thanks for info on bending the arches, I'm pretty confident I can pursuance a tyre under them too...
Looks like it will be staying on 15's
Currently running at 16/19psi.
