RIP The Greatest

Genuinely gutted this morning
We've lost some legends this year but none come close to the loss of Ali IMO.

Many years ago I worked in Euston Tower, London, which had Capitol Radio on the ground floor. One lunchtime I came out to see a crowd gathered around Muhammad Ali, who'd just been interviewed there.

I hadn't realised what a huge man he was - he stood a clear head above everyone else in the crowd. In proportion though - not gangly, but tall, broad and muscular. I wouldn't have wanted to stand up to him!

A really true legend and one of sports gentlemen !

Rip... Doubt that we'll ever see a talent like him again, in boxing

I remember listening on a crackly radio to another sporting legend Harry Carpenter commentating on the rumble in the jungle .... Sporting gold ... RIP the greatest

Listening / watching it all today, great tributes. I've cried (well seriously welled up!!) but mostly I've laughed and felt so proud of what he achieved. We should definately celebrate his life not mourn his death
