EXT-RGB1 into BEC build. Anyone have experience or something similar ?
Hey team
I am building a BEC , using a small classic car chassis and body and are currently researching a reverse option.
So far , I have found many options but the latest bit of kit is a EXT-RGB1 from

Seems strong , well built and well priced ( about £830 landed to me here in Oz)
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this "rotation flip" style geared
down box ?
Or - any other alternatives apart from quaife or other super exxy bits ?

I have NO experience of the Extreme Engines unit.
I do have experience of the Quaife and Westfield units, neither of which will survive a Hayabusa/GSXR1000 Westfield on slicks. Of the two, the Quaife
survived the longest, but required a breather/header tank to keep the oil in it. The Westfield one, well I had two, failed after a few hundred yards.
If it's a road car you're preparing, then the situation is quite different, but again, I found the Quaife more reliable, but either were
good.
I would urge you to go electric, I really would.

or use the Elite MX200 diff with inbuilt reverse

Looks like the Nova Racing Reverse Box

I'm using one in my Hayabusa-engined Sylva Phoenix. No problems so far although only done about 3000k including several sprints.
Only addition I've made is a breather-tube with a non-return valve running to the back of the car from the M6 plug at top of the 'box.
I'm also down-under in Oz.
Live life on the edge - you'll take up less room that way

Thanks for the replies
The nova looks to be a different coloured version of the extreme - same price so in comparisons sake I would go for the more reputable nova.
Also have found this from elite racing transmissions.
Anyone tried ? Considerably cheaper (500 pounds) too.
