sierra diff / drive shafts - how can i fix this

Many years ago i bought a sierra diff and drive shafts. I wanted a drum diff as I wanted 13" wheels. Being an idiot I made a dedion rear end escort width which means custom drive shafts. Over time I've collected shortened driveshafts from other cars approx escort width. I've now found I have the rare 23 spline diff which appears to have thinner drive shafts.

So I desperately want my car finished (cancer diagnosis, life into perspective etc). I really want to fit the dedion instead of falling back to a live able I've got hiding under a work bench.

Does anyone know if drive shafts of different spline size are interchangeable (are the tripods standard)?
Does anyone know if tripod from other vehicles fit?
Where i can get some drive shafts from that aren't going to cost 200 quid each (gb engineering)
Does anyone know of a diff & drive shafts for sale for reasonable money bearing I mind I need to get new shafts made if the collection of 6 i have won't fit.

I have a set of drive shafts to fit a push in diff/drum brakes and they have been shortened.

I’ll dig them out tomorrow and measure, providing you aren’t planning on an LSD they could be what you are after.

If they match your width needs, cover postage and a 4pack of Punk IPA and they are yours.

that sounds fab, perfect and amazing Alex.

(i'd resigned myself to fitting the live axle overnight).

Here we go:

drive shaft 3
drive shaft 3

drive shaft 2
drive shaft 2

Drive shaft 1
Drive shaft 1

All photos were taken with the drive shafts and tape measures in exactly the same place.

Hope they are the correct size.
