Recommended pads

i'm nearing completion of my MX5 based Haynes roadster track car.

I'm wondering what brake pads people can recommend. I expect the originals are better for a heavier car and longer life than I need, and i wondered if Mintex 1144 or other softer pad had been used to good effect.

thanks

1144's get my vote. While I haven't tried vast amounts of pad types 1144's have been the best of all I've have experienced.

1144 great for fast road use and spirited driving, they're what I use on my Triumphs, 2000 daily saloon and GT6. They are probably as good as you need as your car is so much lighter than the saloons they were designed for. If going racing some would suggest 1155s or even 1166s

Check the prices and availability of Carbon Lorraine RC5 or 6s. Run them on the Clio and they are unbelievable.
