Installing Go-Race on Sierra steering column

Hi guys,

On my Fury I have a quick release boss, not exactly the same, but similar to this one on a Sierra steering column:

https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/quick-release-steering-wheel-boss-2-black-56mm

It has now some backslash that I don't appreciate, so I'm thinking to replace it with this:

https://www.go-race.co.uk/product-page/gt-self-aligning-quick-release-boss-weld-on

I'm just a little bit worried about to cut and weld the new shaft, done by a professional werder (still remember Senna fatal crash javascript:icon '' )

Someone already did it? Would be the wheel positioned as it is now or closer to the dash? Any comment or suggestion will be appreciated javascript:icon(''

Pity you are in Italy as I sent my column to Go-race and they welded the new boss on for me.

That’s an interesting option! After Brexit to pass the custom with avery kind of good become a nightmare for time and costs. I will investigate, even if I suppose to have the risk to pay twice Vat and custom duties on the whole value of boss+column plus P&P, so it could be too expensive

No, GoRace will not add VAT, You will pay VAT only for Italy, based on the declaration -value - which GoRace fill in.
I have bought recently few items from UK after the Brexit, including the quick relase from GoRace and as for the shipment only difference is that the Manufacturer / Shop in UK is not adding VAT tax, You pay VAT in Your country (via the DHL or other company, they call You when the shipment is on the border and You pay online VAT).
Important that the seller states on the declaration that product is "made in the UK" so there are no duty or other taxes, just VAT.

Other situation is as happend to me - I have ordered not small amount of parts before end of 2020 in UK. Have paid the price + VAT to the seller, the items are going to be made , order is still not completed (covid small company , lot of orders as I see - MNR Sportscars : ) , seems that I will have to pay VAT _second time_ now here in Poland. Total almost 50% of taxes wrrrr.....

Noticed some delays in UK , but not from GoRace, in fact it was one of the fastest deliveries from UK I have recived so far.

I did not welded the boss myself, gave it to the professional welder here in Poland, seems they did a good job, centered well, they have put some steel shaft in the center in the column and the boss before welding. But not sure what else .
