I have not received anything like this,
but
since the recent resets of the site, real email addresses are shown by default

Hi,

That is indeed my domain name and I also received the same spam email this afternoon. That email address ( locostbuilders@meerkats.uk.com ) is actually pretty old because I used to change it as soon as I started to get spam and just kept adding 1 to the address so locostbuilders1@, locostbuilders2@ and so on. I got to 5 before the recent site issues caused a bit of a reset.

What I expect the spammer has done is create a mailing list with one main address (mine) and a bunch of bcc addresses including yours. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do to stop someone sending email to me or bcc’ing you on an email sent primarily to me.

Rest assured the spam is nothing to do with me, and as with any unsolicited email I suggest you delete it and avoid clicking on anything contained within.

Thanks for letting me know you got this, I had no idea because bcc addresses are hidden from each recipient.
Craig.

Ah the joys of exposed email addresses in forum software, an easy scrape target.
