Happy find

One of those times you tend to dread, taking the bumper off to fit a tow bar, what horrors and rust are we going to find??

Oh wow 26 years old and it looks like this! don't tell me I've actually bought a good second hand car for a change

That looks immaculate - what is it, what mileage has it done and when did it pop out of the time warp?

That's the Nissan Primera I bought two weeks ago, it's only got 37k on the clock and one previous owner, 23 full services for just under £4k

It only stopped getting serviced when the owner died, it was his son that sold it.

From what I've been told it was always kept in a garage.

Blimey!

That could have rolled off the production line yesterday

That was my first thought, but I doubt anyone would pay to fix it and insurers would have written it off.

I think Mr Whippy has indeed bought a nice, well looked after car.

Na I have a huge folder that came with the car, every recept, bill, road tax disk service report, even the original news paper advert the owner saw the thing. I was going to sort it by milage and service date. The underside is spotless and I was coating it in lanolin today and flooding the sills and arches with old engine oil before draining.

There's no way in hell that's that clean behind the bumper cover after 38K miles!

I've been using it to work so it's a bit dusty...

That's amazing, but I suspect it's been cleaned. I've pulled a fair few cars apart and I've never seen one that clean even after only a couple of years. Either way, good find!
