Adhesive for metal to metal

Slightly off topic. I am fitting a new register plate above my wood burner. There are angle brackets at the rear and sides but the front has a steel lintell.
What would be the best adhesive for metal to metal . The plate will become warm when the stove is in use. I don't really want to drill and tap the lintell.
Regards Jon

It’s up to you
When I worked on buses the panels where glued on with sikaflex you had to key the panels first when fitting
The thing is you had to use oxy acetylene to heat the panels to get them off ie very hot
