Crossflow sump types & mods for a Locost

Hi, I am looking for advice please on the different types of Crossflow sumps in rwd applications - is there a table, pictures or other link to this info that shows sump layout, dimensions (depth)?

I understand the 1300cc and 1600cc sumps are different, but are there different positions of the deep section in various Escort, Cortina etc applications (or just all to the rear) and any differences in depth?

This for fitting a 1300cc or 1600cc Crossflow into a book Locost 7 so I am guessing ground clearance is possible issue - what has everyone else done on their builds - modified sumps to make them shallower? - and what to 750MC racers use on the 1300cc cars? Did Caterham and Westfield produce modified standard sumps they were shallower (and baffled)?

Any ideal standard sumps for 1300cc and 1600cc Crossflows to look out for?

Cheers
Mike
