VETuner is live! ECU tuning in your browser
https://vetuner.co.uk
I've been working on this a while now and I think it's ready for other people to use.
I wrote this as developing MSDroid was getting less and less fun chasing the changes in Android. I wanted something I could run everywhere (phone,
tablet, laptop, desktop) and not worry about Java versions or comm port drivers. This runs in Chrome and will talk Serial/Bluetooth/USB to your
Speeduino/Megasquirt ECU
An itch I wanted to scratch was that MSDroid and TunerStudio can be overwhelming. VETuner starts in Focus Mode which is aimed at the basics of setup,
fuel, spark & idle. It also includes the Start Doctor which will monitor your ECU as you are cranking and try and spot problems and give
solutions (https://vetuner.co.uk/start-doctor/)
If you like it, you can subscribe and unlock the full features including live VE analysis, tooth logging, all the dialogs in the INI and some sexy
gauge designs from MSDroid
It works in Chrome and derivatives (Edge, Chromium) which is just about everywhere except iOS (blame Apple for that).
This is new software, so there will be bugs. Help me fix one and I'll give you a free subscription
Regards,
Dave

I've added a blog post here https://blog.smithfamily.org.uk/posts/2026/04/kicking-the-tyres-of-vetuner/ with lots of lovely screenshots and
details of functionality.

I have a Speeduino (No2C) in the car and have a HC-05 that I have not yet fitted into the ecu in the car
I do have a spare No2C on the workbench and tested the bluetooth dongle with MSDroid and Tuner Studio , which works great - but seems I may need to
use resistors to drop the data voltage so I don't kill the dongle (5v - 3.3v)
Just bought some USB OTG convertors so I /should/ be able to use my phone for the USB wired one in the car when I am out and about and without
laptop
Was planning on using MSDroid which I have installed on my phone (but only used on the bench ECU via bluetooth so far)
Will definitely give it a go and give feedback
Regards
Rob

I'm a little sad that MSDroid fell by the wayside, but the effort of working around the new rules that Google kept on introducing made it harder
and harder to keep up to date. I had fun working on it, but I'm having more fun with VETuner as there are few hoops to jump through and I
don't have to deal with releases through the Play Store.
