Sierra drive shaft removal for gaiter change

Does anyone have a link to a guide or just some simple tips?

Car is a Stuart Taylor bike engine going to a Sierra diff. I need to change the rubber boots as they are showing signs of perishing.
Any does and do nots or general advice welcome.

Thanks John

I got fed up with generic boots splitting in too short a time - so I got some of the proper GKN ones:

weirdly the 'fast' / competition type are often cheaper
