How to make an image background transparent (for free)?
Morning people,
Looking for some help please?
I need to make the background of an image transparent (ideally for free).
Any suggestions on how to go about it?
It's a company logo on a white background - need the white bit to be transparent.
Running Windows 11.
Don't have Photoshop or any such graphics packages at my disposal.
Thanks in advance.

An alternative is to paste the image I toast PowerPoint presentation and alter the opacity to level required

often, if you remove a plain background, the image will look better if you add a simple boarder, or drop shadow.

PS, .jpg does not have the concept of 'transparent' so you need to use .gif or a more modern format

background remover tool in Powerpoint is great for this, depending on what you want to do with it after.
If it is a logo and going on some clothing or something then the printers will have editing software to remove and tidy up images.
