A pal of mine has a Longman 1310 under his bench.

I've been trying to get it off him for years right enough

That'll be a bit heavy for hand luggage David. Would an ex Metro engine do you if anyone has one lying round?

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Yup

Pete, I do think a Metro lump would do fine. I have a container being loaded on My 4th heading my way. My friend Carol (whom you met at your place) is heading this way as well. (not in the container, she is flying)

What's that old mini in you back garden?

A monument to man's folly . It's a 998 I ran for a couple of years and can't bear to scrap. The floor's nearly disappeared now and it used to jump out of second gear on the overrun

I had noticed it was "returning to the earth" With the price of scrap metal these days, you could probably get 2 beer tokens for it...

This may be a bit expensive but a mate of mine has a 1275GT (11 stud) which has a big valsve Cooper S head, Kent 286 (full rally) cam, Aldon 100AY dizzy, strapped main bearing on a mini gearbox with 4.1 diff.
Comes with twin 1 1/2 SU's that need an over haul. The carbs currently on it he wants to keep.

It's been put back in the car for demo purposes and he wants as near to £300 as poss.

Easy enough to whip out over the weekend.

It's on the Wirral.
