animal STD's
Ok, silly question but.......
Listening to the radio on my way home last night and STD's where mentioned. For some reason this got me thinking.....
Are humans the only species that has STD's?
(if it helps explain the radio was Graham Torringtons late night love phone in sunday night special)

Yes, animals can get STDs.
My girlfriend is studying zoology at uni.
She was reading a book the other day that said that (IIRC) most Woodlice have one STD or another and that 90% of Ladybirds have Clymidia! Due to their
rampant activity.
And when you think about it, HIV/AIDS is thought to have come to humans from great Apes. Read into that what you will!
Cheers,
James

I believe this is true but they themselves are immune to the disease...

Just remember to use a condom, you should be alright.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Totally off topic but where abouts are you from that you get Torringtons Late Night Love? I thought that was just something on my local radio station.

i think torringtons late night love is a national show that just goes out to all the independant stations, i'm pretty sure it's (or at
least used to be) on century 106 around here or as it's now known as heart fm.
built a car, built a home, had a family. lost the family, lost the home, still got the car.

a sheep with memory problems considering another post!!!!
No, i've no intention of ever getting to any animal that isn't of the type female homosapien!
Just listening to the radio (around coventry on heart fm i think) as this woman was going on about STD's and i wondered if only humans could get
them and it was natures way of getting its own back for us being sexually promiscious.
