Is this a good engine (I mean in general - not that actual one). The first thing that interests me is that it is the same way round as the pinto, ie
exhaust on the right which means that I could presumably change to it fairly easily??

They are good fast engines. The only thing is finding a rear box or bellhousing conversion.

There is a box lying next to it that looks RWD cant tell for definate. So might be worth asking him if he will sell that too.
What sort of power do these engines have?

I had one of them in the Fiat 131 sport one quick car a mate put one in a mk1 escort v.quick needed a big transmision tunnel though

I am using one of these in my build,the gearbox is not particularly bulky.The one fitted in the escort was probably mounted a long way back for the
sump to clear the crossmember,not an issue with a 7.The best gearbox to use is the 2 litre one as it is a lot stronger.It is commonly refered to as
the Abarth box.I used to run one of these in my Morris Minor,great fun!I have seen quite a few boxes on Ebay over the last couple of years. You might
