I first saw it last year by accident and was shocked to be honest, they skinned a corpse to show you what a body looked like.
On one of the other episodes they removed a splein and layed it on a table to show you what it looked like!!!
I thought they were dummies at first!!!

Didnt see it, but there are loads of news stories about on it:

Would be rather interesting I think. My sisters doing a physiotherapy degree and has watched a few human dissections already (in her first year). She said some people have fainted and thrown up...

500 people paid to see it live? thats more disturbing. Lets hope we dont encourage the keen amateurs. Some disturbed people could be set off on a mission by watching too much of that.

Yeah, I watched a few of the episodes last year. If you can overcome the macabre detail of death and decay, it's actually quite interesting to see the all the parts that make up the human body, rather than seeing them in a textbook.

the most interesting one is the vascular system, when they put some kind of red dye in that set solid then peeled away everthing, it left almost a body shape amazing how long that would of taken !

I find the whole subject fascinating - but then I've skinned and cut up lots of dead animals when I worked on a farm.

Dr Gunther Von Hagens is brilliant too - I just love the hat and his whole image

If it was up to me every kid in the land would have to watch something like this at school.

Penry, the mild-mannered janitor? ...Could be!

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

the med students at are uni do it in their first year. each group gets a corpse and every couple of weeks they take them out of the freezer and dissect another part. its a mixture between practical anatomy and the start of surgery skills.

teaching kids to skin animals shows them important lessons like respecting the animal by using as much of the meat as possible plus you know how its been dispatched and apparantly human flesh tastes like chicken ...lol
