Manchester?

Hello all,

I'm new to all of this Locost thing, only decided to get into this last Monday so I'll already apologise for all my silly questions.

Is there a club or any Locost builders in the Manchester area?

John(ok, first thing's first, find a garage)

Yorkshire group meet near Pontefract West Yorks, I think we'll be the nearest at the moment, Next meet this wednesday at 7.30pm, A bit of a drive but worth it just to meet me!

Maybe you could start something in your area, 'corse it'd have to be indoors 'cos it never stops raining does it?!!!

Cheers

Chris

Le' go Chris, it's all down to Technic, when you put your Mindstorms to it.
Especially with the good Kinex..ions that you make on this site.

Yup, Bob's right there's an Indy Pinto alive and well nr M/cr - the moist side of the Penines, SVA'd last October.

I don't know of any local meets yet, I was too busy building. Anyone else in the area?

P.S. good to see you all in the covered up flesh at Stafford, and after the coversation with PTM in tha bar felt the need for a good soaking in it over the top at Rivington yesterday, still drying out

Get some side screens fitted Mr, me and mr g were barely damp and it pissed down all the way home. Sun shone all day sunday (bastard!). They make 'em tough in Yorkshire, it were cold in the morning tho', I nearly had to put me string vest on. Eee by gum, flat caps pigeons and whippets!

John,

Have a look in your U2U inbox, after logging in.

PTM,
I think your right about the side screens - but only after I've fitted the windscreen. We've dried out now.

I'm currently restoring my Dutton Phaeton, which I was given, with chassis damage. The car being free, must qaulify my membership to this site. I am also building a very hi-cost Tiger Avon, bought comprehensive lit @ £5300 going to be ZX9 powered, I'm very dissapointed by this kit as previously posted elsewhere. Anyway to stop rambling I am in Accrigton and would be interested in a Manchester meet

There seems to be a few(but not that many) people in the North West who build or race Locost(or wanting to do both as in my case... )

I think I might try and organise a little meeting or something as it seems there isn't a club or anything of the like...

I'd be interested in a meeting.
I live in Leyland.
If most people live Manchester / Cheshire way then prehaps a venue near the M56 would be handy (preferably not 2nd Wednesday of the month for me ).

Thanks

Regards

Les

I'm based south / east Manchester, would welcome a get together. I'm building an MK Indy. I've got the Donor in pieces and awaiting the MK chassis and kit at the end of next month.

Free most weekends / evenings
