Grenada Diff
Is the Grenada diff the same as the Sierra? I've noticed that it has 5 studs instead of 4.
The local pick-a-part has a 2litre Grenada which I could get the rear end for around NZD$75 (£26)
Although the hubs have 5 studs, I thought I might try to get this - that is if it is the same as the Sierra unit - It certainly looks the same.

I could be totally wrong!!!
But I was always under the impression the Granada was a 7.5" diff.
Some Sierra's also had 7.5" diffs fitted.
I believe the diff you want is the 7"
Like I say - I could be misinformed, but I'm only going by what I did. I purchased a 7.5" it didnt fit, so had to go and find a 7" -
I found an LSD off a Sierra 4x4 estate
Good luck
Oohh and as you're in NZ - why don't you use an MX5 as the donor? Plenty of cheap Jap imports for you guys

Thanks for that. As it was I couldn't get the diff off the car - some bolts just wouldn't come undone (not allowed gas cutting equipment
at pick-a-part). The diff did look bigger than I thought it should.
As for the Japs - certainly lots of cheap Jap cars for parts - the Nissan Cifiero diff is used by Fraser Cars on their Clubman. However I want the
lightest (and still cheapest - hence not freelander) diff I can get as I'm going bike power I thought I'd go with the tried and true.
I could get a complete, running MX5 for as little as around £2000 - it's not the same though is it?
