adrian flux appear to be screwing me over.

ok long story hopefully cut short.

insurance was up on my indy beggining of september, got the renewal letter through saying they would automatically renew the policy unless i told them otherwise, 2 days before renewal date i rang up saying not to renew as i was waiting til my 25th as it's a hell of a lot cheaper. got told that they had already taken payment as it was stated in my renewal docs that they would take payment up to 3 days before renewal date.....checked and yes it was. anyways, after a wee chat they agreed to give a full refund as i would be taking out a new policy with them when i turned 25 (birthday was 3 weeks ago so now have another policy with them).

phoned them and got told it was being delt with. emailed them got nothing back, wrote to them, still heard nothing.

they took the payment on a credit card which i'm now having to pay interest on and they still haven't refunded my money some 6 weeks on!

now does anyone know if

A. i have any way of making them pay the interest charges seeing as it's them dragging their heels? and

B. how the hell do i get my money back from them?! they seem to be taking the attitude of "we're just the broker" but the way i see it is they took the money they should pay it back. i don't really care if they have passed it on to a 3rd party i just want it back!

any advice folks?

Speak to your credit card company they may well help and tend to get quick responses as the insurers can't afford to upset them!

I had a similar experience with Adrian Flux. I think it took two months for them to refund my policy, but it was refunded correctly in the end. I called them about it a few times, but it didn't get me anywhere.

Sorry i'm not much help.

Took about 2 months for my refund. If you ask the credit card company to make a charge back does usually seem to liven things up a bit!

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

Only got my refund after threatening them with the insurance ombudsman, came almost by return. IMHO they are the very worst company to deal with. I certainly will never use them again, even if they did it for half the price of others. Rant over. Ray.

today i did just this! rang em at 9:30 this morning, made it more than clear i wasn't waiting any longer or being fobbed off and if i didn't have an answer by the end of today then i was contacting the insurance ombudsman for them to deal with the matter.

literally within 5 minutes of putting the phone down, the lady from flux rang me back saying that the refund had just that minute shown up on the system. i said thanks for letting me now and that i had to leave to chase the flying pig that had also just that minute appeared!

why does it take getting stroppy with these companies before they take action?! if it wasn't the fact they are so much cheaper than anyone else to insure my indy then i'd never dream of using them again!
