The bickering this site is producing...
Personally speaking....
I am absolutely sick of the constant postings about certain manufacturers dominating this forum. Certain sections of the forum now have their own
personal moderators to lock the threads to stop negative postings. Is this forum free to all users or what?
This forum seems to have been commandeared by a few over-biased supporters. This forum is seriously going down the toilet due to a few over zealous
people.
99% of us on here are relaxed informative people who like to help other people... the way it's going this site will be down to one or two
antagonistic anal people, I'm about sick of it....

I'm sick of it too.
I refuse to post anything on these threads as I live in hope they will grow up and go away.
I guess you get all sorts in any community but as said, a small minority are really cocking this site up.

It is wrong for anybody to run a business from any forum!! Be it bits for the people the forum is for, or, as now, to sell a book.
The only sales shopuld be from members wanting to clear out; NOT from companies.
The ONLY exception from this should be sales with a substancial discount for forum members!!
Regards the bickering. It's only right that members are informed of suspect suppliers.
The fact that you, personally, had a good service does not make the company perfect.

Spring is in the air now,
Lets all get on with the task of building or improving our chosen make of car and getting out and having fun, And do what we can to help each other in
good spirit.

I dont agree with moderating but there is a true case for it at the moment due to one or two folk just using the forum to go off on one.
To those folk I would like to quote my darling teenage daughter, "END IT"

couldn't agree more, but unfortunately some people just love poo stirring.
You couldn't pwn your way out of a wet paper bag, with "PWN ME!!" written on it, from the "pwned take-away" which originally contained one
portion of chicken tikka pwnsala and the obligatory free pwnpadom.

I'm missing out on the bickering action! Where's it happening? Or are threads getting deleted before I read them? Strange....

One thing that does set this forum apart is the lack of swearing, yes I am a bit guilty of this myself. A trivial thing really but on some sites most
of the text posted appears to consist of mad swearathons.
Long may this continue.

Yes, there has been a lot of bickering in recent weeks/months. Yes, I think people need to be told if a service isn't what it should be -
HOWEVER in this instance there has been substantial support both for & against the individual/company concerned, so let's all keep an open
mind.
I think now would be a good time to put this behind us & move on, PLEASE only bring this up again if something REALLY SUBSTANTIAL happens - good
or bad. I know I'm fed up with seeing these posts, I'm sure others are too. If you still have a gripe then for goodness sake sort it out
with the person concerned, I don't think the forum is the right place to do it.
That said this forum is still the BEST place by far for sorting out problems whether car related or not - I don't use Pistonheads a lot simply
because so many people get so anal & personal about things - PLEASE let's not go down the same path - this forums brilliant - keep it that
way!
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

Easy solution, Get rid of 'you know who' in the appropriate section as they have a great forum of their own and it will all stop.
Easy!

Just avoid the sections you don't like.
If people didn't keep replying to the sort of threads in question it really wouldn't be a problem.
Just exercise a little self-control, hold back from posting in reply to an antagonistic other poster and all will be fine!

Doubt it will stop. It will just move into other sections and become unavoidable.

Yes I am still in a bad mood this morning;
Perhaps its just the fact that the satisfied people are fed up with the bias on this site for the negative (but unfortunately its the same
everywhere).
Its important to present a non-biased view, so I (and others) try to balance it out in some way. If people disagree then shut it. There is a bias on
this site for the negative with certain manufacturers.
Its not a case of poo stirring on my part, just a try to balance the posts out. A public forum is not the way to communicate with sellers, simple as
that.
This site is a great resource, and I would have struggled with some areas of my build without help from certain people on here. I have made some
friends from this site (and fell out with a few people more than likely too). We are all here due to a common interest, at the end of the day. I
certainly do not post as much as i used to on this site (still more than some though) mainly due to the amout of poo you get. But I try to help where
I can, whether people choose to ignore that advice for whatever reason is up to them.

A considered post here - I am still not sure I really want to contribute so if this post disappears later it is because I have said my piece but
don't want it left here. If someone chooses to quote me that is up to them, but I will have withdrawn my comment - at least leave this part of
the quote.
The bickering is spoiling the site in my view, and I think it is because it is getting personal about individual members on here. I accept that some
people want to balance the negatives about their favourite suppliers, but anyone who has been on here much will realise that there are generally only
a very limited number of people doing this for a particular supplier all the time so that doesn't count very much. At the same time there are
some who are more regularly than others posting about bad service from a supplier and this is also noticed.
As a public forum it is only to be expected that people will use the forum to make comments or ask questions about the sevice received from suppliers.
It is also a fact of life that people talk about bad service more than they do about good service - but we all know that. If you get what you expect
you don't discuss it. If you get slightly better you don't discuss it. If you get slightly worse you don't discuss it. However, if
it is much worse than expected it is likely you will talk about it. If service is much better than expected - if the supplier goes the extra mile and
creates a "wow" factor then you will also talk about it, but how often does this happen?
When poor service is reported, those who have shared the experience are likely to add to it. The supplier hopefully will change if they become aware
of the issues, but if it is a problem of not being able to get hold of them they may not get to learn of the full frustration. If it continues they
will get a reputation which may lead to loss of business, but hopefully they will change and their reputation will improve. However, it takes a lot
longer to build a good reputation than to lose it or get a bad reputation. The same customers who were satisfied all along saying how good it is now
are not going to change peoples minds.
I think that a friendly forum should allow for some banter, but simply putting a at the end of a post does not undo the words which come before it.
Respect is what is needed, if it can't be shown then try not posting - just write it on a piece of paper which can then be put in that round
receptacle on the floor!
I can't remember which cartoon character it was who was told "If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at
all" but writing this post remided me of that
OK - this may stay on for a few hours, maybe longer. Keep smiling.

I agree but a selected few have dropped to the personal level ' FOR WHATEVER REASON ' I dont care.
Once it has got to that stage those concerned will always be be looking for a reason to open up old wounds and continue the personal vendeta.
Human nature I suppose its a open forum people expres the open views
