Help please, Identifying a .... thingy!

Hi All,

Can someone please tell me the correct name for those jazzers hanging from the end of one of my gear selector rods.

They are threaded on both ends, 90degrees to each other and obviously a ball joint of some sort attaching them together!

I want to try and find some (on ebay if poss!).

cheers,
Steve

Yup, that's a thingy all right

Otherwise known as a rod end - sometimes a rose joint.

Cheers Raz,

Well "thingy" didn't turn up what I wanted on ebay, so just searched for "rod end" and there was quite a few on there! Although they all seemed to be track rod ends!

Do I need to search for the size aswell to narrow it down, or I am searching ebay in vain, and should just go to a local supplier (whoever that may be!)

Steve

try searching for ball end stud too and you will probably find the whole complete joint.

Also, rod end bearing, or ball joint rod end are other generic names.
