I have a two Facet red top's, on two cars, they don't self prime, you have to suck the fuel up to the carb then it draws it self, i followed the instructions, both are next to the tanks, I thought they would draw the fuel but they don't, regards Alan.

I've used facet red tops and solid state pumps as fuel transfer pumps and they have always self-primed, often lifting the fuel 18 inches.

Mine refused to self prime so I plumbed I squeezy bulb off my outboard tank into the system between the tank and pump.
