I hadn't heard he was dead?
Don't think so.

The dogleg gearbox fitted to his car was horrible to use, too,
What a pile, Ford boxes are great compared to a lot of the crap I've driven. What's a dogleg box anyway? I think Ron Champion ought to be
notified of his death so he can take appropriate action, they are obviously thinking of Colin Chapman.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

What i find really funny is that the car they've got in the picture is LHD and isnt powered by a Ford motor. Plus, the car resides in New
Westminster, BC, its on the wrong side of the water.

Excellent, it says my car does 0-60 in 4 secs and 130mph. I'll have to save that page just in case I ever put the car on Ebay. Should bump the
price up.

A dogleg box moves first gear out of the H pattern, typically forward and left where reverse is located on many cars. This then allows for a direct
(and faster)2nd to 3rd shift across the gate. Gertrag used to use it in quite a few of their race orientated gearboxes. I had one in a Mercedes 190
2.3 16v, and it was great!
Still a rubbish article.
