Maxi Lower Ball Joint - Nylock
Hi all,
I should have asked last time round. does anyone know where i can get Half Nylocks for a Maxi lower ball joint.
I think it is an M12 x 1.00mm pitch. I have tried Trident.
Thanks

I have lost one nut from the ball joint, so while I was there I thought I'd put half nuts on (so I have a few threads out the top) so the SVA
man has nothing to complain about.

It's a common problem for only a small amount of the thread to protrude through.
Usual answer is to get a normal nylock and lathe 2-3mm off the bottom. Should be enough to get 2 complete threads showing.

Yes that is the other option but I still need a nut to replace the one I lost...
will remeasure tonight - maybe its 1.25mm pitch

These guys seem to be able to supply most things:

Do you think a half nut it up to the job though? These things do hold your wheels on after all!
What about wire-locking the nut in place to be doubly-sure.
Hope that helps,
James
