Live For Speed online racing
Hi guys,
Two questions to the sim racers here:
1. I haven't been on the Locostbuilders server for a while now. Are there people still racing from time to time? At a given time and day maybe?
Should we do it again if not?
2. There is a race series coming up shortly, first race will be 8 November.
The race is for UFR cars (the stronger Mini type). More info, race dates, rules, sign-up info to be found here:

Individuals or teams can both join. I am thinking of joining, but wondered: Is there someone from here that would be interested to form a 2 person
Locost Team? I will most probably not be able to do all races. Also, I have absolutely no chance of winning, although I hope I will be able to qualify
for the series...
Anyone interested?

I think LFS is excellent and try to make time to get online when possible.

OK then, we are 4.
We could make two teams then. The two faster and the two slower guys?
We need to record our best times in the car anyway and send it in when registering. We could have a Locost1 and Locost2 team based on our times.
The rules for the recorded lap are in the links somewhere. It is the South City Town course if I remember well, in the UFR, with 45% intake
restriction.
I will start practice now and let you know my time in this topic in a few days. You could do the same and we decide on the teams and car graphics
after that...
What do you think? Anyone got better ideas?

Perhaps we could organise a night to get together and we can sort it out on the server?.

I have checked and can't find the server up there. Can you sort that out Gav?
How about one evening this week? Wednesday maybe?
I checked and I got down to 1:35.77 until now, but I need to find a better setting for the car, my gearing is too long.

first couple of goes ive got down to 1.38 but i need to sort out my setup too, what sort of top speed are you getting guys?

My top speed under the bridge is 166.
I think I found a good setup. If anyone wants to try, I can send it online when we are racing.
So which evening are we going to race and form teams?

Damn, I couldn't do it yesterday. I think Friday will be next when I have some time. How about Friday evening at 20:00 UK time? I will try to
make it.
We had a great - although fairly short - race with matt.c on Tuesday. It was fairly even, although Matt won more races.
We should soon decide on our two man teams. The Friday race would be a good opportunity. I suggest teams with very similar paced drivers... Then we
can register for the race series after Friday. Although there are more than 35 racers who applied, which is more than a full grid anyway...
we'll see...
So Friday 20:00?

Others welcome to join, but a Team Locost No.2 will be required as only 2-men teams are allowed for the series.
I have created a skin for Team Locost. Matt, what do you think? You can download both mine and yours from my Photo Archive. If you give me your
preferred race number I will add that to your skin. Or if you want a sticker removed and replaced by something, let me know. But the two cars need to
have the same base graphics.

No. 36 added to your skin, it is in my photo archive, download it and save it in your LFS/data/skins folder to be able to use it. Also, upload it in
LFS world!
By the way in LFS forum, your registration is fine! Just go back, edit it and click the attachment button in the grey message header where the font
and size selections are. It is the one to the right from the smiley. Click it and upload the saved SPR file from your LFS/data/spr folder. Done!
I have registered as well, so we are ready to roll!
First race is 8 november, FE Green reverse, 10-15 laps, so short distance. We have plenty of time to practice and we need it as there surely will be
qualifying...
