why bother SORNing? even if you have 6 month insurance, it's not that much more to get 1 year's tax instead of 6 months... means you can
still use the car when the weather allows (which to me= whenever it's not actually raining/snowing/icy)

some of the best driving days are during the winter - nice cold air being sucked into the engine making it feel all the more quicker & underfoot
it gets fun too

I am taking my car off the road tomorrow, I ran the car in winter for a couple of years and whilst i agree, winter days are fun, getting the road salt
off isn't. Also by the weathers very nature you will be more limited to the days you want to use the car and the days are shorter.

I love driving my car on a crisp and sunny winter's day - the engine runs so well...
The wrapping up warm is a bit of a PITA (no screen, no heater) but the driving is worth the effort.
