and if you search TOL I once said this was a waste of time cos there was no one on it.
Then I backed up my standpoint by being the 115th member. I didnt bother using the site that much tho....

I am #18 on the list.
If I recall (memory being not what it used to be), Chris and indeed many of us were FED UP with the Crap that was being posted on TOL at the time. But
Chris took matters into his own hands, bless his saintly soul, and started this site. He made the announcement over 'there' and a number
of us traipsed over to check it out. I felt bad at the time that someone would try to split the main group and so didn't join while I thought
about it. My biggest problem was that I didn't like having to visit the site to read the messages. But in reality it's a much better
format!
As it ends up, Chris has provided the framework for a thriving community. It's suprisingly civil and ON SUBJECT most of the time.
And I have been building my car the entire time!

and you still had to use virtual reality to finish it! the bodywork that is....
coming on very well though. Mines one ugly twat but if i keep soldiering on over winter *shiver* then all will be well. damn single garages!

The best I've done so far is a rolling chassis on a new set of alloys with a pinto engine and type 9 installed. Now I'm going backwards
'cos I removed the pinto to make room for a 4AGE and it hasn't even been out of the garage yet.
It pays not to rush these things.
