over charging
a friend of mine is looking at a bike engined lowcost but seller says that it over charging what is solution ??will it be expensive neither of us
knows anything about bike engines.

Likely the regulator- quite a common failure on BECs.
On some charging circuits if the battery goes TU the voltage goes stupidly high so there's an outside chance its the battery not the regulator
(but its less likely).

Firstly check what he means by overcharging, the battery on a BEC will show between 14-15 volts when the engine is running.
If it's more than this then it is most likely to be the regulator\rectifier and it will be pretty simple to change so no big issue.
