What radiator for an R1 engined Fury?
Just getting some info together for building an R1 engined Fury and wondered if anyone has any advice about which radiator to use.
It seems logical that the original radiator off a 2003 R1 (thats the year of the engine I'm using) would be best suited. So long, perhaps, that
I ensure the air flow is ducted to it.
I've also read that something like a VW Polo rad would do the job to.
Main use will be track days and occasional road use too.
Any advice for the cheapest, yet efficient rad to look for?
Cheers

Polo rad is a good choice. 1.3 fits direct to the rad' mounts on the Fury. Thats what Ive used and it copes OK in the workshop, though
unfortunatly not been on the road yet.
1.1 polo rad 380x322
1.3 polo rad 430x322
SerckMarston part No's 2719517 (1.1) and 2719819 (1.3)

Thanks for the welcome welderman. It's looking like a polo rad then.
Maybe you won't be so welcoming when I keep dropping in to your place, cos you know I'll be mythering you for info, odd jobs, etc.
Maybe I should just get a job at your place?
Cheer, I'm off for a pint now!

...oh and welcome. Didn't notice the post count before. Another Fury R1, nice. How far on are you? I'm 3/4 through my build or half way
through the body work.

Well, I only picked the kit up on Sunday.
At the moment I'm really just researching options, prices, etc.
The kit I got was a - hardley started project from 2003.
Looking forward to it though.
This is how it arrived in my garage!
Cheers

Not 100% sure but they're cheaper elsewhere by the time you've paid the OTT postage on those auctions.

It's the first one you want. The g40 rad has no bleed pipe.

If there's a GSF near you I think they're similar price but obviously without the postage.
