Donor suspension

I am contemplating building my car with the 4x4 system of my donor car(xr4x4) and was wondering if anyone had any ideas about suspension, especialy in the front where the front shafts go through, I could TRY to use the donor set up but it will be pretty clumsy i think...any ideas greatly appreciated

Could be done. I am using the wishbones (front and rear) from my donor. The actual dampers/coilovers probably cant be used unless the weight of the car is the same as your donor

How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Couple of people have done it.

Look for Liam's car which is a really well engineered version with a Rover 2.7 v6 (Honda) engine.

HTH,
James
