ebay idiots

I listed a Motorcycle frame on ebay

"Collecton from Masham or Harrogate North Yorkshire only cannot post due to size/weight."

I get this from the winning bidder "HI, THANKS FOR MY INVOICE CAN YOU ARRANGE POSTING TO ABERDEENSHIRE AND HOW WOULD YOU LIKE PAYMENT."

DUH

Had a customer a few weeks ago phone up and rant that we said his new zx14 motor was going to be a complete package so why the bl##dy hell hadnt we sent the original airbox.
I took it on board, sympathised with him and then pointed out he was going to need a REALLY big bonnet as the airbox is sand cast into the alloy frame!!

As my recent advert proved, there are a lot of people who simply don't read the item descriptions before bidding.

I guess it keeps lawyers in business.

If he's paid then don't worry. Just reply and say

"as per the terms of the listing, collection only".

If he complains to Ebay they'll tell him to RTFL (read the f'ing listing).

I'm selling a 160Gb hard drive on eBay at the moment.

Today I received a question (about the photo of the item) which made me chuckle...

As above, tell him to arrrange a courier and pay from his end.

Some people just dont think. I had a guy from California who bought a boot spoiler from an Alfa 155. He paid for airmail in the end as he was desperate for the item,

Or

Get a quote from a courier and make a tenner on the postage.
